Life Coaching

What is coaching?

A life coach is a personal mentor who counsels clients through life challenges and helps them achieve goals. There are various certification programs available that train people to coach, but it's not a protected term. Anyone can call themselves a coach and dole out whatever advice they please.

When looking for coaches, look for certifications that are accredited through the International Coaching Foundation (ICF), such as the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC) or Co-Active Training Institute (CTI)

I'm becoming a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through CTI. You can learn more about that certification here.

Why do I need a coach?

Only you can answer that. Maybe you're struggling to build relationships with your metamours, or you feel dissatisfied with your communication capabilities, or you've tried everything to find a partner but keep coming up empty-handed. No matter your problem, no matter your goals, I'm in it with you. My job is to meet you where you're at and enable you to lift yourself out of the miasma of uncertainty.

Life coaching can be a single month of work to untangle a specific knot you've been wrestling with, or it can be a series of sessions spread over weeks or months developing and executing a plan of action. That's part of what we will discuss during our introductory half-hour session - what style and format of coaching will best serve your needs?
